IDKU March 2023 - Drought Hazard Research in Indonesia
Climate change has led to an increase in the frequency and severity of water-related disasters across the globe. The United Nations Water Action Decade (2018-2028) calls for action to address water-related challenges, including flood and drought disasters. However, in contrast to flood* research, we found that drought research in Indonesia is still understudied, based on CARI! Knowledge Engine only consisted of 7% of total disaster-related publications. Therefore, in this IDKU edition, we aim to explore Indonesia's current research and knowledge landscape of drought hazards. The review will provide an overview of the current state of research, identify gaps in knowledge, and suggest areas for future research to address this critical issue.
